Instructions on use |
I've done my best to make it easy
using the program, but if you find that I could have made something clearer, please mail me. First time you run the program it will tell you that it can't find your signature file. Well that's because you haven't told it where to look yet. Just click the icon and show it where you're keeping the file. (Alternately you can just doubleclick the text box with the path in it.) There are two uses of the program: 1) Manual use Run the program, choose your settings and save. Do this every time you want a new one-liner in the signature file. The program automatically changes the one-liner if you choose (Y)ES to "save changes" when exiting. 2) Automated use This mode let's the program just change the one-liner in the signature file without asking you anything. Just put a short-cut to the program in the start-up folder in Windows and run the program with the "-change" parameter. This will tell the program not to open the interface, but only change the one-liner in the signature file. If you're not sure how to do this, follow these instructions: WIN 95 users: 1) Find the folder containing the program "SignatureFunnies.exe" and
right click on it. WIN 98 users: 1) Grab the SignatureFunnies.exe file and move it on to the "START" button. Don't release it! The
"START" menu will open after 2 seconds. Changing contents of textfile: If you wish to edit the textfile, make sure you end each one-liner with a RETURN
(Just press the RETURN/ENTER key - doh!). If you use wordpad or similar editor, don't
worry about the lines breaking on to the next line because they're too long - only a line
break made by the ENTER/RETURN key will make the program see them as separate lines. |
