Mining tip:
To speed up your
mining, here's a nice little procedure:
When you start a
level for the first time, the first thing you do
is build a gold room right? Well, try NOT
building one at all until your imps have mined
out all the gold.
Details: if there
is no gold room, then any gold that your imps
mine will just lay where it was dug (there's no
where for the imps to take it!). If there WAS a
gold room, then the imp would think like this:
DIG-DIG-DIG, go
to gold room, come back, DIG-DIG-DIG, go to gold
room, come back, DIG-DIG-SMASH! Ok, all done.
Next tile.
Wouldn't this be
better?
DIG-DIG-DIG-DIG-DIG-DIG-DIG-SMASH!
Ok, next tile.
Now, granted, you
won't actually GET the gold yet, but...
Instead of having
the imps waste time by walking between the gold
room and the gold itself (they are SO much
trouble to slap, and no, the C isn't all that
quick either), wait for them to actually DIG the
gold out, then build the gold room on top of it.
You'll instantly acquire all the gold that was on
that tile (defined by CREATURE.TXT).
This tip is
really only usefull at the start of a fresh
level. But it still gives you a boost at the
beginning; your imps can go do other things while
you move all that fresh gold around!
Let the enemy defeat itself?
