One thing I've learned is that if you found a room with a whole bunch of goldpots in it and you don't want your imps to carry the gold all the way to your treasury and back, make the tiles with the gold on it treasure room tiles. Or you can do what I do and save some money. Pick up as many pots as you can and dump them on one of your own tiles close by. Then pick up more and dump them on the same tile. When you've cleared the room, go to the tile you have been dumping the gold on and pick the gold up. You'll notice that instead of picking up 8 pots of 150 gold 3 times you pick up 3 pots of 1200 gold. It makes for easy transfer to your treasury.
