Frequently you may notice that in the Single player games you watch the progress of the other Keeper and their creatures is ZERO. There are two reasons for this : 1) There is a maximum number of creatures of each type which may appear. The maximum applies to the whole board, not just yours. Usually the maximum is 20, but it can be less for certain boards. If you are a very fast builder you can lock the computer out of getting ANY creatures!

2) The computer Keeper AI really sucks. This is not the fault of Bullfrog, but merely a testimony to the difficulty of what our brains do every second without effort. The bottom line is that if the computer runs out of gold while building a room, it can get screwed because it can't figure out what to do next. I discovered this because when I took over some of the computer's rooms, they were half built. Also, you can see this bug in action when you turn on the computer assistant set to AGGRESSIVE.
